Brett Catterall began his pottery career at one of Australia’s largest hand thrown production potteries, which he later went on to own and operate. Specialising in functional homewares, he worked across hand-thrown, slip-cast and ram-pressed production, supplying some of Australia’s major national retailers. Brett's background is grounded in the practical realities of production pottery, where repeatability, efficiency and consistency are every bit as important as craftsmanship.
His masterclass will focus on sharing the skills and techniques that underpin successful production throwing.
This masterclass is designed for intermediate to advanced students looking to improve their consistency in throwing sets and larger items such as salad bowls, lidded canisters and cookware. Under the expert guidance of Brett Catterall, you’ll learn to level up and refine your throwing skills in a small, supportive group setting. Class sizes are limited to 8 students to ensure plenty of one-on-one instruction.

- Bisque firing of up to 10 pieces.
