6-Week Hand Building Pottery Course with Pamela Chaves

This course is designed for complete beginners and returning students seeking tutor support for their projects. Under the expert guidance of Pamela Chaves (@elemento.ceramics), you’ll learn to level up and refine your hand building skills in a small, supportive group setting. Class sizes are limited to 12 students to ensure plenty of one-on-one instruction.

Course Dates (Tuesdays 6pm – 9pm):

• April 14th 
• April 21st
• April 28th
• May 5th
• May 12th
• May 19th

Course Structure:

• Weeks 1–5: Learn and practice a variety of hand building and surface decoration techniques, including pinching, coiling, slab building, larger sculptural forms, underglaze painting and carving techniques.
• Week 6: Guided glazing session to finish your pieces.

What’s Included:

• 6 x three-hour pottery classes
• 1 x 10kg bag of Walkers #10 clay
• Use of all equipment and tools (bring your own if preferred)
• All glazes and firings
• Light refreshments each week

Additional Info:

• Closed-toe footwear is required at all times.
• If you miss a class, make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
